Beyond Form — a 25-piece Spring/Summer 2026 collection, delivered in late March 2026.

Beyond Form explored the relationship between basic geometric shapes, sculpture and the body. The collection was particularly inspired by the sculptural work of Barbara Hepworth, alongside Madeleine Vionnet’s approach to cutting, construction and fluidity of form.

The silhouettes were developed through draping and the manipulation of vintage garments, using these processes to explore proportion, volume and new relationships between the body and the garment.

Working from a completely open brief, we developed the collection through a collaborative three-phase process, moving from initial creative direction through design development, fittings and final approval.

01 — Creative Direction

The first stage focused on establishing the creative direction through moodboards, colour palettes and fabric development.

We presented the initial direction in an in-house meeting, bringing together fabric swatches and colour chips for review and approval. This established the visual language and material direction for the collection.

02 — Design Development

The second phase centred around the development and approval of the sketches.

For the in-house presentation, we brought detailed sketches, vintage research, and drapes and base garments from our archive to explore silhouette, proportion and construction.

The sketches and drapes were then developed directly with Zara’s in-house atelier in A Coruña, allowing the creative direction to evolve through close dialogue and hands-on development.

This was followed by the first fittings in A Coruña, alongside ongoing fabric development and approval.

03 — Fittings & Final Approval

The final phase focused on fittings in the selected fabrics, refining the garments through the fitting process and incorporating feedback from the Zara team.

Following final fittings and management approval, the collection was completed and delivered in late March 2026.

Throughout the process, we worked closely with Zara’s buyers, designers and fabric team, combining our studio-based creative development with continuous collaboration across their teams.
